Support Our Troops

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010 | Author: S. Waldo

Political opinions are something that everybody has. They are your personal opinions and it is very rare that you will find someone feels exactly as you do about politics. But one thing that everyone should agree on is the support of our countries troops. They don’t decide where they go to fight.

Those brave men and women who join the military have no choice in what they do and it is their commanding officers that tell them. They must do what they are told or they are severely punished. It is completely and totally unfair to blame them for any problem, issue or complaint you have with the government.

So even if you do not like the policies of our current leaders you should still not only respect and honor the sacrifice of these men and women but you should also support them. Whenever our country is in danger it is those troops who will be there to defend us. That is why you should never diminish the extreme sacrifice that they give every single day of their lives.

Human Perseverance

Saturday, March 20th, 2010 | Author: S. Waldo

Humans can do some pretty amazing things. Throughout history there are plenty of examples of people who have endured some serious hardship doing what they believe is right or just trying to survive even though we can be fragile at times.

There are many stories of prisoners of war who have endured elaborate torture while staying quiet through the whole thing. These people were not only willing to die for something but they were also willing to suffer excruciating pain. Another example of the toughness of humans is the Long March of the Red Army in China. The army was at a loss and was forced to split up and retreat. One part of the army marched over 8,000 miles across China in little over a year, with the enemies at their heels. They eventually escaped, rejoined the rest of the army, and won the war.

So no matter how weak and insignificant people may seem, they can do some pretty amazing things. All it takes is some serious determination and persistence. If you keep at it there is nothing you cannot do. Remember this as you start your next do-it-yourself project.

Teenage Entertainment – Gaming All the Time

Friday, March 12th, 2010 | Author: D. Jakes

In years past, there were many fun and exciting things to that young people could do for little or no money. Kids used to read comic books or just books or both. They used to play outside with their friends. They would have spent hours building models or simply play with toys. But nowadays, most kids just play video games. Most kids hardly ever go outside and experience fresh air. And many of America’s youth do not even play organized sports anymore.

Action and war video games are clearly the most popular. And with online play kids can play with their friends from school without even leaving the house. They just meet up in a gaming party and work together. Some have even taken it one step further and formed clans, and most of the time these clans take there gaming very seriously. Maybe even a little too seriously. Then again, some are just friends who really, really enjoy playing together. The option to play online with friends has made the already impressive gaming world that much better and even easier to stay inside.

Working Out Can Be a Pain

Sunday, March 07th, 2010 | Author: D. Jakes

Most people want to be in better shape. They commit themselves to working out a few times a week but they don’t really work it. What most people do not realize is that when they work out they are supposed to feel sore. That soreness is the feeling of muscle building and growing. I know plenty of people who will stop working out for a week or so because they are sore. What they don’t understand is that when they do, they are losing all of the progress that they had just made. There are better ideas then just stopping. These ideas will let you still workout but you will not have to work the sore parts.

What people should do is alternate the parts of their body that they work. For example, one day they should focus only on upper body. Do work outs like bench presses and curls. On another day you should do only lower body workouts such as front and back squats. Using these methods you can continue to work out every day without worrying about being too sore. These methods will still make you sore but that’s part of what working out does. I have found that P90X is a great way to alternate workouts and get good results.
